This is the Lakota Tent
which we will be taking on the PCT this year.
It is made of silnylon and has velcro closures.

There are two doors, and two vestibules. The total floor space is 60 square feet.
The frame consists of two sets of Leki hiking poles.
It weighs 2 pounds 2 ounces. We are using a 5x7 piece of tyvek for a ground cloth. 5 stakes are needed for normal conditions. For heavy winds or rain, there are up to 8 additional stake out points for extra stability.

This tent was designed, and manufactured May 5-12, 2000. It has been field tested in heavy rains and thunderstorms on the Georgia portion of the Appalachian Trail (Hawk Mountain, and Tray Mountain).
